Well i saw this post of yours and i think i might know what game you are talking about.
Could it be 'Max Payne'. It has a LOT of guns in it and you can do slow motion action while diving around corners taking out your enemies. It is full 3D and was released on the Xbox fairly early so it is highly possible that you played that about a year ago.

other things about this game: you can take pills to heal, the main characer is dressed in black and does a few monologes ones in a while. each level ends/starts with some kind of drawn storyboard.

and there is a sequal to the game as well... (i played tem both on PC)
